Hatchbacks are great for most people because they are very useful and efficient. Most of them have big, easy-to-open boots and a good amount of tech and safety gear to keep you occupied and safe.

1. Peugeot 208

The Peugeot 208 is among the models that looks the best. The cabin is different from most because it has a small steering wheel and a low dashboard. It also has a good level of technology. It’s not the biggest on the inside, though, and you should try one before you spend your money. But if you have a fully electric option, you can drive without making any pollution for a fair price.

2. Volkswagen Polo

The Volkswagen Polo is the Golf’s little brother or sister. It is a smart hatchback that is more useful than its size would suggest. The Polo is built well and has a lot of nice features. Unfortunately, it’s not the most enjoyable hatchback to drive.

3. Volkswagen Golf

The latest version of the Volkswagen Golf might not be the best to drive, but it is the most advanced and fuel-efficient hatchback on the market. It’s comfortable, has a lot of storage space, and is full of safety tech. You can plug it in or use it as a mild hybrid. Even so, the infotainment system is not the easiest to use. There are also GTi and R models.

4. Ford Focus

The Ford Focus is a good-looking hatchback that comes with a lot of features and is fun to drive. It also has nice security tech and achievement options, so anyone could find it to be a good car. The inside isn’t very exciting, though.

5. Mercedes A-Class

The Mercedes A-Class is one of the few hatchbacks that feels as high-end as it looks. The inside is very modern, very well made, and very luxurious for just a family hatchback. Where it falls short is in how fun it is to drive and how much it costs.

6. BMW 1 Series

The BMW 1 Series is a good hatchback whose main goal is to make the driver happy. The inside isn’t very exciting, but everything is made well and the equipment is high quality. There is also plenty of room, but the prices are a bit high.

7. Mazda 3

The Mazda 3 is a very stylish large hatchback. Both the outside and the inside of the car look very nice. There is also a lot of equipment and fun for the driver. Just too bad it isn’t the most roomy hatchback on the market.

8. Skoda Octavia

The Skoda Octavia is one of the few hatchbacks that is as useful as it is. It has a huge trunk and lots of room for passengers, and it has all the “Simply Clever” features you’d expect from a Skoda. But it’s not all that interesting.

9. Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla costs much less to run than that of most hatchbacks because it looks good and has an efficient hybrid engine. It is also very well made and has a good amount of equipment. Even so, it’s not the most roomy option.

10. Mini Hatch

The Mini Hatch is known for both how it looks and how fun it is to drive. With its quick gasoline engine, this is one of the most fun cars to drive in general. It’s not very useful, buy Mini packs a lot of stuff into this small package.
